Mitch Pirtle presented "Joomla For Entrepreneurs". Mitch gives his time-tested talk on how crafty entrepreneurs and small businesses can leverage Joomla to their advantage to accomplish a great many things: grow market share, increase offerings, and lower delivery costs; what approaches work (and what approaches fail); pointers for online resources and reading that makes immediate impact. Also discussed were existing businesses in the Joomla ecosystem, where they fit, and how they got there.

Donna Vincent presented "How to Backup Your Site to a Remote FTP Server", using JoomlaCloner, cronjobs and a free ftp server.

I ordered the book mentioned in Mitch's presentation, The Art of the Start by Guy Kawasaki, and received it today. Can't wait to get on the train tonight and read it. I like Guy's comment that you can have a billion dollar idea, but if you don't have the expertise to create it and don't have money, then you've got nothing.
